Course Design Express with University of Baltistan, Skardu
LLI offered Course Design Express workshop to 18 faculty members of LUMS and University of Baltistan, Skardu (UoBS) as a collaborative project under the mentorship of Dr. Arshad Ahmad and Dr. Suleman Shahid. The workshop served as the first leg of the exchange programme between LUMS and the University of Baltistan, wherein the faculty members from both universities co-created courses and instructional strategies for co-teaching at the LLI workspace. This was a five-day workshop facilitated by Dr. Arshad Ahmad, Dr. Launa Gauthier and Mr. Talha Mahmood.
Fundamentals of the 5E Model
a self-paced online course developed by the School of Education at LUMS, LUMS Learning Institute, and Knowledge Platform. The course is designed to give the participants a strong grasp on a learning model that will make learning a unique experience for their students. Offered asynchronously, the course is designed to allow teachers to implement student-centred pedagogy, and develop, design, and adapt classroom teaching material according to the 5E instructional model. It allows participants to implement the 5E model in their own teaching practice as well as introduce the model in their organisations to empower students and enhance teaching effectiveness.
