Dr. Agha Ali Raza
Dr. Agha Ali Raza is a Tenured Associate Professor of Computer Science at LUMS, a Mahbub ul Haq Research Center (MHRC) fellow, and a consortium member leading the MS in Artificial Intelligence program at LUMS.
He is the founding director of the Center for Speech & Language Technologies and the principal investigator of the Crime Investigation and Prevention Lab under the National Centers for Big Data and Cloud Computing initiative of the government of Pakistan.
Dr. Raza is a Fulbright scholar who received his Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Language Technologies (AI for Speech and Natural Language Processing) from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA.

Minahil is the Lead for the Faclty Development vertical at LLI and has a passion for lifelong learning. She believes that all individuals can develop curiosity, unlearn old ideas, and engage in debate while embracing and celebrating diversity in thought, actions, and community. Minahil holds a Master’s degree in Adult Learning and Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology from the Lahore University of Management Sciences.

Ifrah Nadeem
Educational Research Associate and Program Manager, LLI

Ifrah Nadeem serves as an Educational Research Associate and Program Manager for Medical Programs at the LUMS Learning Institute (LLI). She is also an Adjunct Faculty Member at the School of Education, LUMS. She holds an MPhil in Education Leadership and Management from LUMS and a Bachelor’s degree with double majors in Psychology and Education from Forman Christian College (A Chartered University). Prior to joining LLI, Ms. Nadeem worked as an Education Developer at the Centre for Learning and Teaching, FCCU, where she also served as an Adjunct Lecturer. Her areas of expertise lie at the intersection of psychology and education, with a focus on research-informed learning design, faculty development, and leading educational initiatives in higher education.

Can we attend CHPE online?

Yes, this is a hybrid course so you can attend it online. However, to foster communities of practice, ensure smooth engagement throughout the program, and build rapport with peers and instructors, the launch weekend must be attended in-person.

Is there any work experience required?

No, prior work experience is not required for this course.

Is CHPE recognized by PMDC?

The certificate for CHPE at LUMS is jointly offered by LUMS and the Health Services Academy, a PMDC-recognised degree awarding institute. The certificate is issued by Health Services Academy.

How much is each course for?

The fee for the course is PKR 180,000/- for the entire duration.

You can also pay through the KalPay installment plan.

What is the time commitment required from the participants?

Participants should expect to dedicate an average of 5 contact hours per week.

Who can register?

The following people are eligible for CHPE:

  1. Professors and educators of medical education
  2. Doctors/nurses
  3. Other healthcare professionals with 16 years of education
  4. Researchers/Managers/Coordinators with 16 years of education

 

Note: Your degree will be required to verify your eligibility during the registration process.

What is the refund policy for CHPE classes?

Participants are eligible for a 75% refund if a refund request is submitted at least two weeks before the commencement of the CHPE classes. No refunds will be processed beyond this period.

Can I defer my enrollment to a future CHPE session?

Yes, if participants are unable to attend the course, they have an option to defer their enrollment to the next CHPE session, subject to availability and scheduling. The deferment request can be placed up to one week after the commencement of CHPE classes. Deferment is subject to availability and scheduling.
