Workshop Description

Join us for an engaging workshop that introduces you to the methods of teaching in the cutting-edge, innovative pedagogical model of a flipped classroom. Through theoretical learning, and a range of demonstrative, experiential activities— this workshop will focus on equipping educators with the exposure and methods needed to flip their own classrooms for a more engaging and effective learning experience for students. We will lay the ground- work of learning through discussing the critical importance of student-engagement, the variety of interventions you can make, as an instructor, to enhance the learner’s experience and teach you an effective implementation of the flipped classroom model.

Workshop Delivery

The workshop includes interactive activities, mini lectures, and exercise where participants will be exposed to the innovative, flipped classroom model approach to teaching. Through a curated combination of individual reflective activities and group discussions, participants will be provided the opportunity to enrich their pedagogical repertoire.

Dr. Ammar Ahmed 
Assistant Professor, SBASSE

Dr. Ammar Khan completed his PhD studies from the University of Cambridge. The focus of his PhD research was studying the application of disc-like (discotic) liquid crystals as hole transport layers in hybrid organic/in-organic dye-sensitized and perovskite solar cells. Furthermore, he also studied the interaction of liquid crystalline phases with two-dimensional graphene layers for display and lasing devices.
