Dr. Hamad Alizai

Dr. Alizai is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at LUMS. He brings years of experience as a faculty, researcher, software engineer, and technical lead both in industrial and academic settings. He has authored a book and book-chapters, and published more than 60 scientific papers while abroad and indigenously from Pakistan, several of them in top-flight ACM/IEEE journals and conferences (CoNEXT, SenSys, IPSN, BuildSys, LCTES, EWSN, TOSN, TECS, CCR).

Dr. Agha Ali Raza
Assistant Professor, SBASSE

Dr. Agha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at LUMS and the founding director of the Center for Speech and Language Technologies (CSaLT). He is a Fulbright Scholar and received his Ph.D. from the Language Technologies Institute, School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA.

Dr. Qasim Imtiaz

Dr. Qasim Imtiaz received his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET Lahore). He moved to Deajeon, South Korea to obtain his M.S. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). After completing his M.S. in 2010 he joined the Institute of Energy Technology, ETH Zürich (Switzerland) to pursue his doctoral studies under the supervision of Professor Christoph Müller. He is a trained facilitator in Instructional Skills Development and Course Design training.

Dr. Zafar Ayyub Qazi

Dr. Zafar Ayyub Qazi received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, New York in 2015 and BSc. (Hons) degree from LUMS in 2009. Prior to joining LUMS, Dr. Qazi was a Postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley. He has also worked at Hewlett Packard Labs and AT&T Research.  His research interests are in computer networks and systems. His current research focuses on the design of future cellular networks, design and management of large-scale cloud and data center networks, and improving web and video access over the Internet in developing regions.

Minahil Gillani

Minahil is the Lead for the Pedagogical Partnerships vertical at LLI and has a passion for lifelong learning. She believes that all individuals can develop curiosity, unlearn old ideas, and engage in debate while embracing and celebrating diversity in thought, actions, and community. Minahil holds a Master’s degree in Adult Learning and Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology from the Lahore University of Management Sciences.

Rehana Kazi

Rehana is an MPhil graduate in Education Leadership and Management from LUMS, driven by a passion to enhance learning experiences across diverse educational settings in Pakistan. With over 7 years of experience, she has honed her expertise in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) within the educational sector, primarily focusing on its transformative potential in assessment, pedagogy, social media, and ethical use.

Amna is a dedicated education management professional with an MPhil in Education Leadership and Management and over 8 years of experience in educational program management and teaching across diverse levels, including K-12, vocational training, and undergraduate education. As the program coordinator at LLI, she is driven by a passion to advance LUMS's strategic mission of enhancing teaching and learning (T&L). Her commitment lies in cultivating a community where teaching excellence and student success are paramount, thereby contributing significantly to LLI's overarching goals.

Fatima Iftikhar
Faculty-Student Partnerships Lead, LLI

Fatima Iftikhar is an accomplished educator and educational developer with a demonstrated history of working in higher education, focusing on teaching and learning enhancements and faculty-student partnerships. She has worked extensively in curriculum and pedagogy with higher education and non-profit organizations. Her educational background includes a Master of Philosophy in Education Leadership and Management from Lahore University Management Sciences. 

Anusheh Attique

Lead Facilitator Faculty Certificate in Teaching & Learning

Anusheh is Faculty Development Lead and an education developer at the LUMS Learning Institute (LLI) leading the Faculty Development Initiatives. She is a lead facilitator at LLI for Faculty Certificate in Teaching & Learning, and plays a pivotal role in offering pedagogical consultations to  Higher Education faculty. She is a trained facilitator in Instructional Skills Development and Course Design training. Anusheh is also is a part of policy engagements within university pertaining to teaching and learning.

Eilya Mohsin
Head of Educational Development and Strategic Initiatives, LLI

Eilya Mohsin is an accomplished education professional who holds a Master of Philosophy in Education Leadership and Management from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). In her professional career, she has held several key positions at LUMS. Currently, she serves as the Head of Educational Development & Strategic Initiatives at LUMS Learning Institute, where she provides visionary leadership and strategic direction for educational development initiatives. Prior to this role, she was the Head of Academic Affairs and Communication at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS), LUMS.

Dr. Ehsan ul Haque

Dr Ehsan ul Haque is Professor of Marketing at the Suleman Dawood School of Business, Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan. He received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, and spent some time in the oil service industry in Pakistan and the Sultanate of Oman before pursuing his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Haque received his PhD in marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Dr. Shaper Mirza

Dr. Shaper Mirza holds a BSc (Hon) degree from University of Karachi and a doctorate from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Her PhD studies involved understanding mechanisms of nasal colonisation by a Gram-positive pathogen Streptococcus pneumoniae.

Khalid Mehmood Cheema

Dr Khalid Mahmood Cheema is currently serving as Deputy Director, Medical Education at Shalamar Medical & Dental College (SMDC). He is a graduate of King Edward Medical College, Lahore. He is a fellow College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.  He also did MS (Surgery) from University of Punjab and MCPS HPE from CPSP.

Sania Shuja

Dr Sania Shuja is serving as Head of Department of Pathology at Shalamar Medical & Dental College, and as Director of Pathology Diagnostic Laboratory at Shalamar Hospital, both of which are constituents of Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences, Lahore. She is a graduate of King Edward Medical College, Lahore. She acquired her pathology residency and fellowship training at Boston University Hospitals in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She is Board Certified by American Board of Pathology. She has a PhD degree in Experimental Pathology from Boston University, Massachusetts, USA. 

Sheharyar Sikander Hamid

Dr. Hamid has an extensive teaching experience at various higher education establishments in the United Kingdom, Bulgaria and within Pakistan. He earned his PhD from the University of Warwick (UK) with specialization in Corporate Governance, Financial regulation and Islamic finance. 

Talha Dogar

Talha has an Mphil in Education Leadership and Management from LUMS, and is an experienced and dedicated educator with nearly 10 years of experience in education and leadership roles. As an Educational Developer working in higher education, Talha has successfully delivered over 300 hours of instructional skills training to faculty, staff, and students at LUMS.
