Workshop Description

This collaborative workshop focuses on leveraging ChatGPT and other AI tools to create engaging and effective learning experiences. Bring your existing course and practices, and leave with fresh insights, innovative strategies, and a plan on how to integrate AI into your teaching seamlessly. 

Learning Outcomes
  • Gain an understanding of the latest AI technologies and their current uses and misuses.
  • Strategize on how to thoughtfully harness AI tools to improve teaching practices.
  • Anticipate potential downstream consequences, weighing the ethical implications of AI.
  • Collaborate with peers to think through potential AI applications for your classrooms

Format: In person

Workshop delivery

The workshop includes interactive activities, mini lectures, and exercises where participants apply ChatGPT and artificial intelligence tools to their classroom contexts. There will be opportunities for individual work time and small group discussions.

Dr. Agha Ali Raza
Associate Professor, SBASSE

Dr. Agha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at LUMS and the founding director of the Center for Speech and Language Technologies (CSaLT). He is a Fulbright Scholar and received his Ph.D. from the Language Technologies Institute, School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA.

Rehana is an MPhil graduate in Education Leadership and Management from LUMS, driven by a passion to enhance learning experiences across diverse educational settings in Pakistan. With over 7 years of experience, she has honed her expertise in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) within the educational sector, primarily focusing on its transformative potential in assessment, pedagogy, social media, and ethical use.
