Teaching Awards
At Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), we are committed to recognizing and celebrating the remarkable contributions of our faculty to teaching and learning. In collaboration with the Office of the Vice Chancellor and the Office of the Provost, the LUMS Learning Institute (LLI) proudly oversees the distribution of prestigious teaching awards that highlight the dedication, innovation, and excellence of our educators.
LUMS Award for Teaching Excellence 2026
The LUMS Award for Excellence in Teaching reflects the high value LUMS places on the core mission of teaching and learning. This award honors faculty members who have made significant contributions to enhancing student learning through innovative teaching practices, sustained commitment, and outstanding educational impact.
Eligibility
All instructors, including faculty, adjuncts, teaching fellows, and professors of practice, with a minimum of three years of teaching experience at LUMS, are eligible. Nominations can be submitted by Chairs, Deans, or faculty members who can attest to the nominee’s teaching effectiveness and their impact on student learning.
Nomination Process
Complete the brief nomination questionnaire by February 9, 2025.
- Submit the completed nomination portfolio (template attached) by April 15, 2025, via email to lli@lums.edu.pk.
- After the nomination deadline, we will provide support materials, including recorded videos on developing a teaching portfolio, to assist nominees and nominators.
We encourage you to actively participate in this initiative to celebrate and acknowledge outstanding teaching at LUMS.
Nomination Portfolio Requirements
The nomination portfolio should not exceed 7 pages (excluding the cover page) and must include:

| Nomination Letter | Written by the nominator highlighting the nominee’s teaching innovation, mentorship, and impact on student learning. | 1 Page |
| Curriculum Vitae | Summary of academic qualifications, courses taught, and teaching-related achievements. | 1 Page |
| Statement of Teaching Philosophy | Overview of the nominee’s beliefs about teaching, learning strategies, and pedagogical approach. | 1 Page |
| Evidence of Teaching Excellence | Examples of teaching innovations, mentorship, course impact, leadership in teaching initiatives, and student evaluations. | Up to 4 Pages |
